Reporter trolls reported your question/answer for being a chat violation of the community guidelines. You should appeal the violation. Open your e-mail in box and scan for a "Your question/answer has been reported by..." header. That's a violation notice. Open the message. Toward the bottom of message there's a hyperlink that will take you to the appeal form. Click the top button. In the Details box, type "Exactly HOW does this question/answer violate the CG in ANY way?” Submit the appeal. When you win the appeal, your question/answer will be restored. You will be sent an e-mail by Yahoo saying "Sorry for the inconvenience" when your question/answer is restored to the same place that it was deleted from.

The reporter trolls think EVERY SINGLE QUESTION AND ANSWER ON YA IS A CHAT VIOLATION. Knowledge is transmitted in many different ways. The best way to transmit knowledge for MANY people is BY CHATTING. THAT'S WHAT YA IS ALL ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE THE MODERATORS OF YA. The Yahoo staff DOES NOT READ the YA boards, except maybe as a hobby after hours. You have TELL Yahoo that there is a problem with someone's actions on YA BEFORE they can do anything about the person who is causing the problems by using the “Report abuse” buttons.

You might be doing scientific research n how many people ate what today. The troll who reports your question as a chat violation has NO WAY TO JUDGE whether the answers you get are useful to you OR NOT. YOU are a member of Yahoo Answerss Community TOO. An answer to your "chat violation" question MIGHT help some one else who just reads an answer to your question. not JUST you.

No more comments added to a standard repy file, because _I_ will violate the community guidelines myself if I say anything else.

Because the answer to that question would not be considered generally useful knowledge or advice, it fits the definition of a chat violation and was deleted after being reported.

Because your question has no 'value' to anybody, including you. It is considered simple 'chatting' - and YA is NOT a chat site. Despite what you may see here, especially in the Polls & Surveys section, such questions ARE violations and often DO get reported and removed as such.

Community Guidelines explain what a violation is – chatting is the most reported violation. Here are links to learn about violations.
