25 mcg is a really low dose. And going from that to 100 mcg is a really big jump - I would try doubling the dose first and then see what happens. If your TSH goes up after treatment, as mine did, too, it means you're not getting enough.

Also - I only used Synthroid (name brand) but haven't tried the generic. Some people do notice a difference, like a return of symptoms after switching to gerenic, even though the FDA doesn't want to acknowledge this - and your insurance company probably won't, either. Mine refused to pay for my Synthroid even though my doctor had written the script "dispense as written." Also, I'd rather try Armour before going to synthetic T3/T4 meds - it's cheaper and means only one prescription. It will likely take a while to get things adjusted. Have you had your antibodies checked? That is essential for treating Hashi's!
