I would have to agree that if you don't like martial arts then you should not continue. The reason why I say this is that the practice of martial arts is something that I personally love, but then again I train out of choice. You have been exposed to one particular style and have accomplished much in 5 years, but now it sounds as if you have lost interest. Do not train to please your dad because it will only end up ruining your experience. In the event that you continue to train I highly suggest training in Jeet Kune Do, or if you would like more of a weapons-oriented style then go for Modern Arnis. I have trained in may "styles" and I have received the greatest benefit from the philosophy and tools taught in Jeet Kune Do... Do be aware that there are many people that claim to instruct in Jeet Kune Do but are not properly qualified.
