Has feminism destroyed american families and marriage in america?
A lot feminists would argue that this is a blessing that marriages and families are on the decline... but those who live in reality know that this is not what makes a strong society... america became the strongest country in the world because it had a strong family unit, but today it is unwinding... with over 51% of american women being single and outnumbering married couples... as well as the demographic problem of having less children...
so let me get this straight... you think women who get married and start a family is nonsense? Than where is the next generation of americans going to come from? Immigration!!!!
There is no such thing as gay rights or womens rights or minority rights... we all have the same rights, doesnt matter what group you belong too...
Im not against immigration at all I in fact encourage it... but don't be surprised if white folk start becoming a minority in the future, because immigrants have kids, white people not so much...
America is growing cause of hispanic immigrants, blacks and other immigrants... white americans are actually declining percentage wise... I personally dont think its a bad thing if whites are having less kids though...

No society has ever stood without a strong family unit being the core of that society. Feminism has done what communism or any other enemy could not. They have destroyed marriage and family in America.
"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."
Today we worship ourselves and our feelings like little children. Our morality and spirituality is only held by a minority. Feminism and political correctness is what we have been given to replace them.
Americans like to put their blinders on and avoid looking at our own collapse that is beginning now. We act like if we believe everything is still ok just different, then it will be. Unfortunately, ignoring reality won't change it, nor will it stop what is coming. Americans are in for a very rough ride. First generation in history that has a lower standard of living then their parents did. Just the first of many declines that are already here....we are only postponing the consequences until we run out of borrowing power (which isn't far off). Just like feminists taught women they could have it all, didn't make it happen. Just like feminists taught women they would be free and have all these choices, didn't make it happen (they have less choices, and less freedom then ever...there lives are governed more by necessity than by choice).
So, yes everyone knows that feminism destroyed marriage and family...that was their goal from the very beginning: in their own words: http://deltabravo.net/custody/quotes.php
What most Americans don't acknowledge yet it that it is causing the decline of our nation. From wealthy producers and savers, to consumers and borrowers, and soon dependancy and welfare.
It is all the ISM that destoryed us...as predicted even way back in 1948:

True enough. really the pressure was from church and community and the fear of being shunned by ones whole community. I really thing the organized church is just a frame work to enable the old embittered people who need to have dominion over other or at the very least be able to make anyone beinging an annoyance suffer. People should stop voting but only in presentational election till they abolish the electoral system and taxed legal contacts for love are u ******* kidding. until 1970 cohabitation was literally illegal so if you wanted to form a cooperative live in condition with someone of the other gender marriage was the only legal option. when did divorce rates go up and marriage rates go down. when there was a more sensible option

Not to be politically incorrect here, but the same could be said about anybody. I'm just a good ol' boy, and not trying to be racist here, but I've beard the same kinds of questions about blacks, latinos, whites, asians, muslims, jews, politicians, the media, poor people, and rich people. I think you need to focus on the individuals who are doing what you described and not blame it on "american women". I don't know what gender, ethnic, social backrgound, or religoius beliefs you share, but why not ask a question like, "Why did people of my culture destroy America?" This is only my opinion, but I think It's the negative stereotypes people have that are destroying America, and the rest of the world for that matter.

Being married doesn't mean family....You can be married and have kids but not be a family. And, I'm fairly certain there isn't a lack of baby making happening in the world, and definitely not here in America. If there was, our numbers would be decreasing everyday due to deaths and we wouldn't have the need to build more housing units, create higher functioning cities, etc.
And, we don't all have the same rights. If we did, there wouldn't be people (like me) fighting for the ERA.

I really disagree with what you are suggesting. It doesn't matter that their are less people getting married if it means that woman can finally hold their heads high and become independent. Do you know what a marrage is like for a woman? Especially during the "Baby Boom?" which is when, you apparently, would deem as the 'ideal American Family period.' Take a look at some of the ads for companies and what they sold, very sexist society. Women don't get married because they know that most men have that sense that they should be the head of the household, and honestly who wants to be bossed around? Who wants to be put down because of a vagina between their legs? If you're a boy then I guess you don't know how it feels like but I'll tell you right not that it is the worst feeling in the world to play a part that is set for you as the "wife", in other developing countries if you are a woman you are expected to have kids, and take a look at how those places look now compared to the US. Afghanistan? Iran? India? Honestly, there's no need to point out the obvious but America has nothing wrong, if anything it has more good in it than bad, and feminism is one of it's strong points. People are getting married less because now they have options. Women can have educations, careers, homes, and not be expected to marry once they hit their "ripe" ages (20-28). Answering your question on the Total Ferility Rate, it stands at 2.1 at the moment, and you know what the replacement number is? 2.3. There is nothing that suggests that the US will end up like Italy or Sweden (countries that have very low replacement levels.)

You raise some good points in your question.

Leave to a male to blame a woman for the crap his father made.
It was the NIXON AND REGAN administration who taxed married couples so high that people decided not to marry. Now you have the option to br married and file separately. But now it's too late.
Marriage isn't always a blessing to women. It's a life of unpaid servitude. No work, no pension. In other modern nations, women are given a pension, like social security for being homemakers. Not so in the US.

Somehow I don't think feminism has had anything to do with the divorce rate. It has resulted in women not believing the old nonsense that they HAVE to get married right out of high school and have a flock of babies, which isn't a bad thing at all.

There is a good part of feminism and a damaging part as well. Equaling the rights of women has been long overdue but women are finding new identity problems as men have to diminish their masculinity due to the nature of the rise of feminism. As equally, men should be seeking a movement of masculinity and great definition as men, being great people and nurturing women with respect and a sound mind.

I don't know how to break this to you but Americans are the descendants of immigration. And, if as you say, it was a strong society, then maybe America needs more immigrants to make it a strong society again.
Just saying ....
Don't look down on immigrants. The Native Americans did and look what happened.
