is this considered an argument? why/why not?
Filipinos always complain about the corruption in the Philippines. Do you really think the corruption is the problem of the Philippines? I do not think so. I strongly believe that the problem is the lack of love for the Philippines.
I'm asking if it is an argument. This is from an essay. I'm not asking you to answer those questions nor express opinion on the topic.

Yes - that could be considered an argument for a written essay if worded correctly. The argument would be whether or not corruption in the Phillippines is a problem .Source(s): College English 101

Speaking as an American, corruption in government can kill dreams and happiness. It is hard to love your country when government is not on your side.
