Repetitive use injury from punching bag too much and not taking enough rest days. Every time you punch, it compresses the wrist and irritates the soft tissue inside. Try ice and ibuprofen and take more rest days. Also work on your punching technique to ensure you are using proper form.

If you haven't had your wrists taped or inadequately taped, the this may be the reason. Your initial training should emphasize developing timing on the speed bag, over impact hits on the large heavy bag.

Source(s): Supplements like Fish oil taken morning and evening, help the joints. Anti-inflammatory supplements like MSM and Astaxanthin minimize pain by minimizing swelling. Emu oil applied on the spots that hurt will help minimize the pain as well, but you won't feel pain relief until the next day.
