    If you have an additional child tax credit on line 13 of Form 8812, carry it to Form 1040, line 65; Form 1040A, line 39; or Form 1040NR, line 63.

    If you had at least one dependent child who was eligible for a child tax credit but you didn't owe enough tax to get the full $1000 child tax credit, and you had over $3000 of earned income, you're probably eligible for the additional child tax credit. See form 8812 for the calculation.
