why is paying for sex so frowned upon?

Honestly it seems like it is way easier since you can just skip the small talk.

As far as diseases, you can use a condom and you can get diseases from civilians

Because, at least in the U.S., people are judgmental and hypocritical about sex. It's okay to be sexual here, but not there. Okay in this way, not in that.

I think the obsession with monogamy is another ****** up thing about American culture. Not sure where you're from.

But yeah. Because people are morons.

Edit: To Я тебе кохаю!: prostitution would NOT be dangerous if it were legalized, given healthcare benefits and other employee benefits like any other job. Because human beings have decided to marginalize and disgrace sex workers, they are pushed underground and that's where the danger comes from, not the profession itself. Imagine, if you will, women who are paid for sex who get to choose their clients, screen out crazy people, DON'T work for a pimp and get all the benefits other workers do. Hmm...almost like they were legitimately working for a living, which sexual hypocrites say they aren't. It's a job like any job and I'm tired of sex workers losing their rights and being treated like garbage.

  • It's demeaning, for starters.

It supports a form of slavery and organised crime.

Being a prostitute is dangerous. All it takes is one deranged customer or psycho pimp and you're in big trouble.

because, prostitution is not so much a hard working job as much as a non work ethical act used to sell yourself and give over your body for physical intimacy with complete strangers- dagerous for its diseases and sleaziness
