Is pharmaceutical science same as pharmacy ?

hello there i a bit confuse. what is pharmaceutical science?could you explain it to me?* if possible i don't want the explanation form wiki* is it related to pharmacy ?what are the career relate to pharmaceutical science? what the difference of these two?

also i am wondering if i take pharmaceutical science could i still be a pharmacist ?

No. You study pharmacy to become a pharmacist, someone who dispenses pharmaceuticals at a pharmacy (e.g. CVS, Walgreen's). You study pharmaceutical science to become a scientist who works in research and development or manufacturing at a pharmaceutical company (e.g. Eli Lilly, Merck, Glaxo). You cannot become a pharmacist by taking pharmaceutical science.
