The Muslim view of heaven varies depending on who you ask. Currently, a philosophy that holds sway in many Middle Eastern countries is called Wahabbism, which advocates a literal reading of the Quran and the Hadith (which together comprise Sharia). However, the Middle East only comprises a small fraction of the believers of Islam: there are by far many more Muslims in Asia and Indonesia then there are in the Middle East. Their traditions and their interpretations of the Quran are based not only on what the Quran says, but also on rational & philosophical interpretation. As such, their view of what that particular verse means would likely take it to be figurative and not literal.
