Do you need Apple's permission to manufacture and sell iPhone cases?

Apple has a program for makers of electronic accessories for idevices called the MFi program: http://developer.apple.com/programs/mfi/

However I can't find anything about whether you need Apple's permission to produce and sell iPhone/iPod/iPad cases and other non-electronic accessories.

Yes, you can manufacture cases but you could not use their registered name iPhone without their permission. You can say it fits standard electronics. You could also ask their permission to use the name as it advertises their product. They might say yes. They might work out a small fee, etc. Good luck!

Apple geared up a production facility in China just to fabricate the iPhones. a pal of mine who works on Apple products in China knew of the production facility even till now the 1st iPhone replaced into introduced.and he instructed me approximately it till now the 1st iPhone replaced into released, so i understand that this is genuine. so some distance as i understand, ALL iPhones are made in China.
