What is a REALLY good depressing book to read?

I love to read books! I read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson already.

There is this book called Crank, by Ellen Hopkins.

It's long, and horribly depressing, but for some reason, you can't put the book down.

The summary is:

About a girl that visits her poor dad over the summer, meets a guy, they do drugs, she gets addicted, then get raped, and gets pregnant.

But there are a few happy moments in the book. :)

Good and depressing... Check out Max and Mary, might not be your cup of tea but that's the closest I can think was actually good but made me slightly depressed after finishing it.
