What are some good book series I can read?

I've just recently finished both The Hunger Games and The inheritance cycle (Eragon books) I'd like another book series to start reading, id prefer something long with many books and it has to be interesting, list any book series and if you can how many books in the series. Please do not list Harry Potter or Twilight as I have no interest in those books. Anything else goes! Thanks!

The Alchemist by Michael Scott. He has written four books named the following: Alchemist, Magician, Sorcerer, Necromancer. I loved these books! They each have 400-500 pages in them, but I always finished them in a couple days they were that great. Check it out; you liked the Eragon series you'd love these. He creates a world within our world. I cant wait until Scott comes out with the next book.
