Alan Hansen has done nothing wrong, it is simply the black people's reaction to the truth: In a country where Whites are the majority, non-whites are 'coloured'. It's time the blacks (and others) realised that the term 'coloured' is not offensive. "Coloured" includes Blacks, Asians, Hispanic, Latino, as well as half-caste, and is a general term.
Alan Hansen said that they are many coloured players in the Premiership and that they are the best players, if being told you are the best is offensive then I only have one conclusion - You are the racist.
When blacks stop calling me 'WHITE BOY', I might form a different opinion, until then 'coloured' is not offensive. Racism works BOTH ways!!!
If Alan Hansen had said "They are too many blacks in the premiership, and they reduce the quality of our game", then that would be racist, but he has complimented all players that are non-white.
Non-whites would be more respected if they didn't play the race card at every opportunity, respect is earned and easily lost.
I know Black people who are proud of their Black heritage, and wish to be known as a Black person. I know Asian people who are proud of their Asian heritage, and wish to be known as an Asian person.
I am White, I am proud of my White heritage, and wish to be known as a White person. Ask yourself.... What is the difference?
What classes as racism is dependent on the individual, Blacks call each other "N-ggers", but a White person is criticised for using that term. We tend to refer to the local convenience shop as "The P-ki shop", it isn't offensive, it's just general day-to-day terminology.
True racists would not deal with coloured people in any way, they would not set foot in "The P-ki shop" or pay to watch a Black man play football.
Then again, true racists live congregated in one area on town, don't integrate with other races or speak the English language!!!
LIKE I SAID EARLIER, RACISM WORKS BOTH WAYS!!
