Unreasonable demands by supervisor?
Situation: Unreasonable demands by supervisor or just **** every one has to deal with?
-little higher than minimum wage worker
-request from supervisor to buy her a "gift" (Nothing about receiving one in return)

Maybe you need to speak with your supervisor's boss and tell them what is going on

Tell her you can't afford that. Some work places have gift exchanges but they are usually capped by $20 or so. This sounds shady of her to request such an expensive gift. I would tell your boss or HR. Expect her to be written up or fired.

wow, this is not shyt that everyone has to deal with................has she said it as a joke etc and is truly messing around OR has she given you a list etc and said you MUST buy her something.
If the later tell her you have bills etc to pay and you will get around to it when you are able to [which is polite speak for go stuff your self]
If you have it in writing that she wants you to buy her stuff then feel free to pass that up the food chain am VERY sure that HR would love to hear about this one, but step carefully as this is very easy to pass off as a "I was ONLY joking" comment and that leaves you a little bit under the bus.
