Do realty companies like Century 21 offer health insurance and 401k plans?

With matching contributions?

Or are realtors mostly left out on their own to fend for themselves?

Just curious.

Update:

Oops - for their employees (workers).

The realtors are not employees. Everyone is self employed, even realtors are answering the phone, they get leads from the phone, not pay.

The office may belong to a HMO, but the realtor will have to pay 100% of the costs, which is going to be roughly $1,000 a month for 1 person, $1,500 a month for a family

Some of the large real estate companies have a benefit plan that you might join. If you look at these real estate companies advertisement for salepersons, the ad offer benefits. Check your local paper or real estate magazines for these ads.

There are many options for you to consider which would determine the monthly payment you would be required to pay.

    #1.Single person or Family plan

    #2.Dental plan (Option)

#3.The amount of deduction for the plan

#4. Cadillac plan or Chevrolet plan

#5. Age of the person being insured.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

It means you take it and don't even think about it. That is a great benefit. Ex: You put $1,000 a year - they will give you (for free) $500...

Realtors are almost never employees. They are independent contractors and so C 21 can not offer these benefits to them.

For real estate brokers who are paid on commission, it's unlikely that health benefits are extended. Perhaps for their salaried workers.
