Is left ventricular hypertrophy caused by exercise dangerous to your health?
I am curious if athletes with this condition are at risk for health problems.

It is dangerous only when the condition causes scarring. It takes a lot of physical exertion to cause scarring - an amount of exertion that the vast majority of athletes never reach. Scarring reduces cardiac output and scar tissue can potentially interfere with the transmission of electrical impulses across the heart surface and cause an arrhythmia.
