what to do about Postoperative nausea and vomiting?

My 19 year old daughter had a tonsillectomy yesterday. She has been vomiting on and off since she came out of surgery. If you have any suggestions to help quite her stomach, they would be much appreciated.

she is not taking any narcotic pain killers, just liquid tylenol

When you go under anaesthesia, your stomach goes to sleep. It's not ready to handle too much at a time.

I would recommend ice chips to suck on for the time being. gingerale helps in tiny sips and there is ginger gravol if the vomiting is very bad.

    Get well soon!

You should really call the dr. Vomiting can do damage to the area where the surgery was done.
