How to recover sunken cheeks?

Hello,I just want to know when meth users get their chubby cheeks back,i know a friend that has used meth but for a small period(not like the usual meth addicts that continue years),let's say 3-4 months...So he quited doing drugs but his cheeks are still sunken,not very much but they are.

Can you tell me why is this happening?He quited 4 months ago and his cheeks dont get chubby still as they were before...

The meth destroyed his collagen and elastin fibres and skin tissues in general. That is what I think. I might be wrong. He needs serious professional help to restore his cheeks.
