I got called a tool today and one of my friends whom is a girl said its a good thing what does it mean?

I'm a sophomore and a girl who is a senior asked my friend, "whose that tool with the red shirt?" and she said what my name is then my friend said it was a good thing and a compliment?

    No it's not a good thing or a compliment...tool is someone stupid or acts weird...your friend is a tool for lying to her and say "So your a tool too and I told everyone"

    A tool isn't really a compliment.... It means someone who uses girls. They're all "Jersey Shore" material, like work out 247, think they're the best and can get any girl they want. So no, not good.
