How to get rid of a dry throat?

So this morning I woke up with a dry throat. The dryness is only on the back of my throat, on the right side. I have tried drinking plenty of water but it is still there. I'm pretty sure it's nothing serious, but it is bothering me. So what can I do to get rid of it?

    What the person above says helps.

    All I can add is try drinking some hot drinks ( not tea/coffee )

    There is one in particular ;

    boil the kettle and add the hot water in the cup

    add a teaspoon of pure honey (mix thoroughly)

    add 2-3 drops off lemon juice

    this is a good herbal remedy for dry coughs, drink 3 times a day (if you do not want to buy medication)

    A very dry environment may affect your throat, so drink plenty of fluids to keep your throat moist.

    You could try cough drops or sore throat spray. Also gargling a little salt water sometimes will help.
