Is 8 weeks enough to get ready for a 10K marathon?
I wanna do a 10K marathon by mid February. I never really ran but I do a mile in 9 mins or so and I wanna know if I have enough time to get ready for it and what should I start doing? Go for 2 miles run and slowly get to 6 or 7 miles. Also I'm 274lbs but really athletic 14% body fat lean muscles. I'm also doing plyometrics but idk if that will help me on the 10K marathon. Need pointers and advice on what I should workout and what not to do. I'm currently a fast twitch muscle sprinter. will that be a disadvantage for me? Serious advice.

There's no way you are 274 pounds and lean.
