1. Pure silver metal can be made using the reaction shown below:

Cu(s) + 2AgNO3(aq) --> 2Ag(s) + Cu(NO3)2

How many grams of copper metal will be needed to use up all of the AgNO3 in Dr. Raitano's laboratory.

A) 18.70 grams

B) 37.3 grams

C) 74.7 grams

D) 100 grams

    63.5 g 2x170 g

    ? g Cu = 100 g AgNO3 x 63.5 g Cu / 340 g AgNO3 = 18.7 g Cu = A
