what is wrong with my vinyl player?

I have a record player "ALBA MS450" and when I play a record, only a very faint bit of the track is heard. I really arent sure on how to fix vinyl players at all and at first I thought I just needed speakers, but after some reasearch I believe there are some inside. I've managed to look inside and it looks very empty although i'm unsure on what it should look like, any help!?

The arm is to high off the vinyl bring it to a music store and show them they will fix it.
