Please Help! I'm really scared I might have tinnitus?
A few days ago, I had a cold and my right ear started having a stinging pain. On Monday, I went to the doctor and he told me I have a light ear infection (Otitis Media). I've been taking antibiotics, and the pain is mostly gone, but now for the past two days, I've had a pretty loud constant ringing sound in my right ear. I've also been feeling dizzy. It's getting in the way of my studying, and I'm scared I might have tinnitus, which I heard can't be fully cured...
Is it likely that I have tinnitus, or is the ringing a common and temporary thing associated with an ear infection? Please help!
PS I'm sixteen years old

Most likely this is a side effect of the infection and will clear up on its own in a few days. If it does not, check back with your doctor. Read about tinnitus here.
