How do I cancel my cineworld unlimited card?

I bought the unlimited card few months ago not knowing it was a 12 month contact. since then I have only went to watch the movies once. I have been on the phone with cineworld but they say it is my fault. When I canceled the direct debt they sent me a letter saying they will call in the debt collectors. I struggling with my finances at the moment and cant afford having them take £15 every month.

1. If i refuse to pay them will this affect my credit score/rating?

2. Is there a way out. has anyone been able to cancel there unlimited card? or I cant get out of it.

3. Is there a way to get cineworld to terminate my card? has anyone had their terminated?

Plzzz help!! :l thanks in advance

    1. Yes, defaulting on payment will negatively impact on your credit score.

    2. Going from their website, it seems to say you can cancel with one months notice.

No, cancelling a direct debit, just cancels the direct debit. You need to write into Cineworld or phone them to cancel. I used to have Cineworld. All I did was phone up. Simple.

You need to notify your bank and cineworld that you are cancelling the direct debit.
