Physics problem need help ASAP!!!!!!!?

The tensile strength (the maximum tensile stress it can support without breaking) for a certain steel wire is 3000NM/m^2. what is the maximum load at that can be applied to a wire with a diameter of 3.0mm made of this steel without breaking the wire?

    σ = F / A

    Assuming you meant "3000MN" and not "3000NM",

    3000MN/m² = F / (0.25π(0.003m)²)

    F = 21 kN
