A cannon ball is ﬁred horizontally at 200 m/s off a cliff 200 m high. Give the angle, below the horizontal, at which it will enter the sea below.

The horizontal velocity is constant at 200 m/s

The vertical velocity will become

v² = u² + 2as = 0 + 2 * 9.8m/s² * 200m = 3920 m²/s²

v = 62.6 m/s

Θ = arctan(62.6/200) = 17.4º
