what new team will Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu end up on this season?

Lopez better than Bynum? You have got to be kidding me. D12 is going to the Lakers, all the pieces are there. Do you think the Lakers made that Odom trade to NOT use the trade exception in this trade?

Dwight Howard and Hedo T. will either go the the Los Angelos Lakers or the New Jersey Nets. Which one they go to will depend entirely on how crafty the GMs are. It is true that the Lakers received a trade exception from the Lamar Odom trade however, they cannot merge the 8.9 mil from that trade and the 5+ mil from the Vujacic trade. I don't believe your allowed to fuse two trade exceptions into a bigger trade exception. If this is the case then the Lakers are left with the delimma of how they will receive Hedo and Dwight without having to trade Pau Gasol which would be a stupid move on Mitch's part. The trade exception right now is useless because they can't use it for Hedo. The only solution to the problem is to use the exception to try and aquire a player that catches the Magic's eyes. Perhaps Paul Milsap if the Jazz are in the process of rebuilding? After whatever the Lakers decide happens this is how the two teams will match up. Lakers Propose: Andrew Bynum, (Trade exception player), Draft Picks in exchange for; Dwight Howard Hedo T. Nets Propose: Brooke Lopez, Draft Picks in exchange for Dwight Howard and Hedo T. Both teams are offering to take Hedo's huge contract but in terms of centers, the Lakers have the advantage. It all depends on how greedy the Magic want to be. Will they try to force a pull for Pau and Bynum? Hopefully not. However the Lakers are in too deep seeing as they've traded Odom meaning if they don't get Dwight Howard, this whole thing was a bust. Bottom line is they may have to trade Bynum and Pau whether they like it or not.

The $8.9M trade exception from the Odom-to-Mavs trade + $5.5M trade exception from the Vujacic-to-Nets trade last year will absorb Hedo Turkoglu's bad contract from the Magic.
Andrew Bynum + 1st round pick (from Lakers via Dallas) swap for Dwight Howard.
Waive Luke Walton under amnesty clause and pursue Chauncey Billups.
Thank you Mitch Kupchak for this early Christmas gift.
The Lakers will be getting a beast veteran PG who can play and has championship type mentality after beating the Lakers in '04 .
By waiving Luke Walton that would free up some space and have some money to also pursue Samuel Dalembert or Nene as a PF or back-up Center .
By the way this is looking the Lakers roster could be like this -
Metta World Peace
Pau Gasol (if not traded with Bynum)
Steve Blake/Derek Fisher
Chris Daniels/Howard/Nene/Samuel Dalembert
Smart looking Jim Buss .
They are going to waive Luke Walton and absorb the Hedo contract .

Actually the Nets is the team that can absorb hedo contract and that what they offered for the trade. The lakers have no one to trade because odom is ggoing to mavs. Bynum is injury prone and the magic wont take the risk, and pau gasol is soft. Brook lopez is much better and the magic get better picks. Also Howard even demanded to be traded to the nets. He will be a NET

First, I'll be unbiased. I think Dwight Howard will be a Net or a Laker. If he's a Net, Turkoglu stays a Magic because NJ can't absorb his contract. If he's a Laker, Turkoglu will be too since they can give Gasol too and/or the trade exception. NJ is the front runner but as we have seen nothing is certain until it is completed.
