    The TVA was founded May 18, 1933 and was signed into law by FDR who had been in office just two months fourteen days at the time (FDR was the last president to be inaugurated on the old Inauguration Day of March 4th and in '37 became the first to be inaugurated on the current Inauguration Day of January 20th).
