God made the stars on day #4..& U want me to believe that the light from all the stars could already reach us?

He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

It is in Gen. 1:1, not Gen. 1:16, where it describes the stars being physically created.

In Gen. 1:1, it says that "God created the *heavens* and earth". There is nothing to indicate that billions of years could not have passed between that statement and the next sentence in Gen. 1:2. So “the heavens” (which includes the stars) were most likely created long before the first "day” even began.

Also the Hebrew word rendered “make” in verse 16 is not the same as the word for “create” used in Genesis chapter 1, verses 1, 21, and 27. So when verse 16 says that "He also *made* the stars", it does not mean that He actually created them at that time. But what *does* it mean?

The events of the six *figurative* creative “days,” or time periods of special creative works, seem to have been described as they would have appeared to a human observer had he been present on the earth then. So even though “the heavens” (which includes the stars) were created long before the “first day” even began, their light did not reach the surface of the earth, presumably due to dense layers of cloud cover. During the fourth "day" (creative period), however, a notable change took place. The sun, the moon, and the stars were now made “to shine upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:17) “God proceeded to make” them in the sense that they could now be seen from the Earth's surface.

It never said human days, just the fourth day, the fourth day in gods time, like some christians believe that our planet is only 6000 years old but that can't be true either because we all know for a fact that the planet is much much older than that, when you start to study the bible, you only know very little what it teaches, the amazing thing about the bible is that you'll never stop learning from it and no matter how many years you study the bible you'll never finish studying the bible, you'll just get more knowledge about the truth about god, no one can say "i have studied the bible and i fully understand it now"

Like priests or pastors etc etc they call them self men of god but they are not men of god, they only use the bible as a tool to manipulate people, scare them so they will always come to their churches and donate their money, they teach them that god is love but if you don't obey him he will throw you down to hell where you will be tormented forever, read Ecclesiastes 9 verse 5 there it says what happens to the dead ones.

It also said that god rested on the seventh day, well it's still the seventh day, there will be a new order of things soon, matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

The bible foretold about the last days what will happen in those days, well it's now, everything that is happening now today was written long time ago, then the end will come, the evil will be gone forever and the righteous ones will live forever on paradise on earth.

Think about it, god created earth, why would he let evil rule forever over it, satan questioned god, saying humans don't need god, they can take care of them self(wanting humans to worship him instead of god), god gave satan a chance to prove it and look at the world now, satan was wrong (we need god) and he has only a short time left and he is doing everything in his power to blind the people so they won't know who god really is, then he will removed and be gone forever.

2 Timothy 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

The bible is amazing if you only gave it a chance, but i understand when people see that religion is fake because it really is but not the bible and not gods organization, in time only those who really want to seek, will find, the truth will set one free.

I thought people were made on day 6. How could the light of the stars reach humans that were not yet made? But then God's word is powerful if He made the stars to give light when it's highly impossible I believe they did.

Oh, but he could have created them any way he wanted to because he is all powerful.

So even though the earth is 8,000 years old and the Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 million light years away, God could have placed those beams of light much closer so we could see it right away.

Apologist will try to apologize anything. I prefer Occam's Razor... the simplest explanation is the usually the correct one...

Light from stars millions of light years away is still heading towards us.

the biblical authors had no conception that light speed was a limiting factor in this universe. While they were pretty smart ole boys with the dogma they prepared--it was logically sound from a perspective of the late bronze age--clearly they had no conception of modern science. Therefore on examination these stories simply don't hold up.

The sad thing is I knew most of these, and even noticed that you put that the "electric chair was invented by a dentist" 2 times. Very good list! I enjoyed it!!!

He must have made the light in transit to the earth so we could see it so fast. He must have because the bibble is the infallible word of Gawd!

remember that a day to God is LIKE a thousand years. Meaning a short time is a long time to God. And a long time is like a short time to God. The "days" that God used to create the universe weren't 24-hour days.
