reps is the number of pushups you do, so 12 reps = 12 push ups

    12 reps = 1 set

A rep is doing whatever exercise 1 time, so if you are doing push ups and it says do 8 reps per set then you do 8 push ups and pause. That is 1 set.

ok so if you do 6 reps and repeate it three times (set) you would do 18 total

12 reps 3 sets would be 36 get it?

Reps are how many times you do the thing. After a short rest, you do another "set" which is another groups of reps. So you do 6-12 reps, short rest, then do another 6-12 reps, short rest, then another 6-12 reps.

I rep is lifting a weight one time, if it says do 6-12 reps, lift the weight 6-12 times, and the sets are how many times you do 6-12 reps. The key is to lift heavier weight. If you do 6-12 reps of 5 pounds your muscles can still get weak if your body isn't working harder than it works on a daily basis. so lift a heavy enough weight to challenge your muscles. that meant if you are trying to do 12 reps, you might only be strong enough to lift it 11 times. once you are strong enough to lift that weight 12 times, then increase the weight until you can lift that 12 times, and so on.

reps are repetitions. so its saying to do 6-12 pushups

sets are how many groups of repetitions you do. so do lets say 9 pushups, take a 2 minute break, and then do it again, and then again. so you've done 3 sets of 9 reps.

a rep is repeating the same move over and over

a set is the number of times you do the reps
