Who does the bible say will judge mankind?

John 5:22 says the Father does not judge. John 12:47-49 Says the Son does not judge, but those who do do not obey his word will be judged by the same word. Then 1 Peter 1:17 says the Father judges all men impartially.

All judgment has been given to the Son, Jesus. In John 12: 47-49 it is written in red, which denotes that Jesus is speaking. He means that did not come into the world to condemn or judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. While on earth He was not our judge, but after dying for our sins and rising from the dead; God the Father gave all judgmental authority to Him.

The Father judges no one but has committed all judgement to the Son (John 5:22) - this means on Judgement Day at the end.

(John 12: 47-49) is speaking of Jesus not judging anyone then, BEFORE Judgement Day. "If anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him, for I did not come to judge the world (when Jesus was physically IN THE WORLD) but to save the world (John 12:47).

If you call upon the Father who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your sojourning here in fear. (1 Peter 1:17). Whilst we are still living in this world, we are commanded to pray to the Father, in the Name of Jesus and have fear of God, because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7).

The reason The Father and Jesus Christ are used interchangeably in different areas of the Bible is because THEY ARE ONE (John 10:30).

Jesus will be the Judge of mankind in the end, but Jesus Christ IS "I AM" (John 8:58) just as the Father is "I AM" (Exodus 3:14), so when Jesus Christ judges, it will be as the Father.

Sometimes our finite minds don't fully understand all the implications of God the Father and Jesus Christ being one, but God came here to earth in the flesh form of Jesus Christ (John 1:14) and God was IN CHRIST, reconciling the world unto Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19), so we just have to accept that Jesus and His Father are one and the same person and one day when Jesus Christ Judges, it will possibly be the Father IN HIM.

Jesus will sit on the White Throne Judgment and judge all of mankind. During the millenium reign of Christ for 1000 years, we will rule and reign with him. Apostle Paul said, "Do you not know that you will judge angels." We are to know the Scriptures so when we rebuke and reproof that our judgment will be correct. We are to be ready at all times to give an account concerning the Word of God. We are commanded to study the Word of God. Few people even pick up the Bible.

God has given the "authority" of the judgement of mankind to Jesus Christ.

Jesus fulfilled all that God had commanded Him to do. "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phi 2:9-11).

"For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man" (John 5:26-27).

The sentences you quote are referring to different situations.

Right this minute you are judging yourself by your choices. Armageddon is just around the corner and when it happens, you wil live or die by the choices you have made. Jesus likened these days to the days of Noah. You remember what happened to the people living at that time, don't you?

As for the dead, most of them will be resurrected, taught the truth about God and then judged by their choices at that time. They will be judged by Jesus and the 144,000 humans who were selected by God to go to heaven and rule with Jesus for 1000 years. All of the early disciples were of this class. We do not know who the others will be.

God has promised those who love Him that in the next world nothing and no one will cause they any grief.

Therefore He cannot allow anyone who does not want to live in love and peace to enter the next world.

For example if you have no compunction about hitting someone who upsets you, you will not be allowed to enter. So you see, you pretty much judge yourself by your actions.

God knows that we have inclinations that are bad, thanks to Adam. He has established a congregation on earth to prepare us for the next world. He is refining us and teaching us how to overcome these imperfections. What a joy it is to come closer to goodness and further each day from badness. You are very welcome to join us and share in the beautiful things of God. Any Jehovah's witness can tell you how.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men - the testimony given in its proper time.

Only Christ can be a truly accurate judge, because he came in the flesh. God the Father has never been in fallen flesh.

He came to save the world through his obedience and sacrifice, but he will judge us at the white thrown judgment.

Jehovah God is the supreme Judge. But he appointed his Son Jesus to judge the living and dead. So Jesus will judge mankind.
