In Alabama officers are now having to go through training, to learn more about the actual causation of the new law.

The new law is the brain child of one Kris Kobach (see wikipedia) who has written the Arizona law and now the Alabama Law. Funny thing about Kobach, once he was for the immigration rights, now a 180 turn about. I feel he is all about himself and where the next buck or notable notice is at.

The problem with the laws as written, is that the Federal Government is the overseer of the Immigration laws (Home Land Security-which took over the Immigration roles).

Some feel the states have overstepped their boundaries, many feel the states have a right of autonomy from the Federal Government Controlling everything. Then others feel, that to properly enforce the law, becomes a violation of the "Color of Law" doctrine under 18 U.S.C. 242 Deprivation of rights, which states it is a violation to deprive ANYONE OF RIGHTS.

Thank God i retired and do not deal with the enforcement of the Law, but it has cause some major companies in Alabama to rethink the new Governor Bentley as how religious a man is he when he is picking out certain members of society to torture. Arrests of criticism have been those of a major car builder Mercedes benz and just lately a Japanese executive from Honda which is now quite embarrassing, but the REPUBLICANS insist it is a law we all need. While crops of tomatoes rot in the fields and other crops migrant workers have tended to for years go unpicked this yer because of Gov Bentley's stupidity an that of the Legislature, I can only blame those who voted for the law as WHY?

It is up to the Obama administration to enforce the federal laws on the books

See the attempt in Arizona to make illegal immigration a state crime so local authorities could arrest. The Obama administration sued the state to prevent them from enforcing the law

Can anyone explain why Q&A of this type is allowed to stand even when submitted to The Team Via E-mail. There are hundreds of postings by these same people daily on Law Enforcement and Police and even when reported they are allowed to stand.
