Is it illegal to come across wild hemp plants and not report it.?

I recently may or may not have discovered a small patch of wild marijuana. I may or may not have taken a picture of said plants and now may wish to post the pictures online. Is it illegal to not report having found said hypothetical plants? Would I be safe to post them.

Update:

@ fat Oprah.

Yes, because I happened upon a small batch near the railroad tracks, I'm now hopelessly addicted. I came across hemp in Kansas therefore = I must be a pot-head. You're totally right.

that stuffs only good for rope...not enough THC in the stuff to even get your Grand-Ma high so I wouldn't worry about it.
