what is db when it comes to bass?

155 db's to rms what ?

ok i have a freind that has some speakers that hit 155 db's and i have a system that hits at 2400 rms what is better ??

RMS is a method of measuring power, in watts.

dB is a measurement of sound pressure (SPL)

They aren't directly related.

Generally, very powerful systems can play very loud, but it takes a lot more than just power to be loud.

You have to have high quality speakers, well designed and constructed enclosures, AND adequate power.

As far as comparing the two.

SoloX's are a lot more capable than T1's, but you're fighting a losing battle w/18's vs 12's.

You didn't mention anything about the amps powering either of the subs.

155 is extremely loud, but I think your two 12 soloX's set up very well could match or beat that.

To get there I think you'd NEED that 5kw and a MAJOR electrical system upgrade to support that level of power.

The db means decibels for the subs higher the db the louder the sub would be. Since u got the T1 look at the P3 n p2 there db will be lil.smaller in number wise
