I'll list some of my favorite songs by bands not on your list and recommend an album for them to. It will go like this "song-band (recommended album)" though that song may not be off that album, it's just the album I would recommended for that style of song. When indicated with a " * ", this means that the track is not on the recommended album. If multiple albums are listed but the " * " mark is absent, then the first album listed contains that track.

And If you already know any of these bands to the point you know you like or dislike them, tell me and I'll replace that band with a new recommendation. Hope this helped.

Okay here we go, oh and if you aren't enjoying them after 30 seconds, stop wasting your time and skip to the next song.

A Strange Day - The Cure (Pornography)

Venus in Furs - The Velvet Underground (The Velvet Underground & Nico )

A Means to an End - Joy Division (Unknown Pleasures)*

Universal Mind - The Doors (The Doors)*

Nowhere Man - The Beatles (Rubber Soul, Abbey Road)

He Was A Friend Of Mine - The Byrds (Turn! Turn! Turn!)

The Stranger Song - Leonard Cohen (Songs of Leonard Cohen or Songs from a Room or Songs of Love and Hate)

The Man Who Sold The World - Nirvana (MTV Unplugged in New York)

Dazed and Confused - Jake Holmes ("The Above Ground Sound" of Jake Holmes)

Oh My Love - John Lennon (Imagine)

Source(s): Possession - Iron Butterfly (Heavy) Babe I'm Gonna Leave You - Led Zeppelin (Led Zeppelin) Help - Deep Purple (Shades of Deep Purple, make sure it has the track "Shadows") Paint it Black - Rolling Stones (Aftermath [US Version]) Mr. Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan (Bringing It All Back Home or Highway 61 Revisited) Mama - My Chemical Romance (The Black Parade) The KKK Took My Baby Away - The Ramones (End of the Century)* SWLABR - Cream (Disraeli Gears) Somebody To Love - Jefferson Airplane (Surrealistic Pillow) A Perfect Sonnet - Bright Eyes (Every Day and Every Night)

Good choices in there. King's X, Galactic Cowboys, Megadeth, Soundgarden, Jerry Cantrell, Blackfield, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rush are some other good bands.

Coldplay sounds like U2, Muse, and Radiohead. I'd recommend their album Viva La Vida to start off with.

I can probably help you out, being a music fanatic in all...

I listen to just about everything.

The following includes albums that pretty much all of the songs are great:

-their whole album "Light Me Up"

-albums; "Fallen", "The Open Door", & "Evanescence (Self-Titled)"

    Breaking Benjamin

    -albums; "Dear Agony", "Phobia"

    A Day To Remember

-songs; "You Had Me At Hello", "Have Faith In Me", & "The Downfall Of Us All"

    Pierce The Veil

-songs; "Kissing In Cars", "Chemical Kids and Mechanical Brides", "Bulletproof Love"

-pretty much all of their albums.

    Hot Chelle Rae

    -song; "Bleed"

    Try some older stuff too:

Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Joan Jett, Nirvana, No Doubt, Oasis, Soundgarden.

    Hope I Helped A Little(:
