    facing it ---to the left, or counter clockwise sometimes they are put on with an airgun or corrosion can make them sieze a little -----a shock such as an impact wrench provides will break them free rather than twist and shear it if it is really stuck

    try a little oil on them too like break-free or any light penetrating oil if rust is a prob

    someone is bound to say it----lefty loosey righty tighty

    there are such a thing as left hand threads that work opposite-----you are referring to pulling it apart to get at the wheel bearing or something? 1 large nut and not the wheel lug nuts right?

    in either case the above should apply
