British Invisible tanks?

The British invention 'E-Camoflauge', what do you think of this?

Will it be Battlefield ready by the Time we leave Afghanistan?

How far is it possible to expand on this, Imagine when we refine this technology further and are able to put it on vehicles such as the 'Taranis' ( )

Maybe even onto Aircraft carriers, etc.

Also, will we keep this Tech sovereign?

It's a neat idea. Will it be battlefield ready by the time Afghanistan is left to its fate? Doubtful. Even BAE admits they are looking at a 4 year timeline for IOC, and it's always smart to push these things to the right.

    A) there are some legitimate points raised about different angles, different spectrums, and whether this technology would be really all that applicable

The comment thread there highlights some of the probable difficulties

    B) It's probably not going to be cheap, or easy to maintain, and thus making it difficult to field

    C) It really doesn't help that much in Afghanistan anyway.

I put into the category of ideas that won't amount to much by themselves, but will lead to much cooler things as further developments.

As far as keeping it sovereign-BAE's not going to be able to do that. Nor would they want to-to much advantage to bringing in its subsidiaries.

The French invented this technology decades ago.

Then the Italians stole some of it.
