If a King of the UK married a Roman Catholic?
Would she become Queen? Would their children be heirs to the throne?

Currently the man would have to give up the throne but the law is in the process of being changed. However, in fact the wife would be Queen Consort and children would be in the line of succession providing they didn't convert to Roman Catholicism, that would still bar them from the throne as the Monarch is still Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

specific, of direction, and a few have achieved that. although, they might desire to get rid of themselves from the succession, as a Roman Catholic won't be able to alter into the Monarch, and the toddlers of an RC mom are seen RC by applying the Catholic Church. although, that regulation is approximately to get replaced. interior the substitute of united kingdom regulation that helps the 1st toddler to inherit the Crown, no longer the 1st boy, the regulations approximately no longer being Roman Catholic are additionally being replaced. that's to equalize the regulations in the time of all of the sixteen Commonwealth nation-states, which at the instant have diverse regulations.

Yes, the Monarch can now marry a Roman Catholic. And yes, their children will still be in the line of succession, provided they were raised in Anglican faith. If, however, those children are raised as Catholics, they will have no succession rights.

Until the law changes, she would have to give up being Roman Catholic.
Under the new agreement (which still has to be made law), it wouldn't make any difference.

Yes and yes, but only if the children were not Catholic themselves.
The law is in the process of being repealed. It's not official yet, but it will happen.

No, he'd forfeit his throne unless the girl converted to the Anglican church... thought they were going to repeal this 18th century law; guess not!

He would have to abdicate the throne, under current law.
