I just can't let the two answers of gas and gaseous be left alone. Even at earth surface pressure 14 psi, Quantum effects would allow a small part (1 part in a billion parts, I don't really have that answer) to be liquid. But it the room was in a pressurized state, such as a 1000 psi, then more (or all) would be liquid. Then again, if you had a laser, you could turn the hydrogen into a plasma.
