With all the controversy about Ryan Miller and Milan Lucic?

Do you think Ryan Miller should have done this instead?

Question #2: What Goalies do you think are the "toughest" in the NHL? I think Brent Johnson is one of them, who are some others?

Update:

Yeah, those videos never get old! He was the man!

But in reality Miller is too much of a pretty boy to do these things.

Q2: Ray Emery and it's not even close.

    Yes.

As a former goalie, I can certainly say that's exactly what you do there... goalies are top heavy on balance b/c of the way their skates are balanced and their pads hang, so to win any head on collision they need to be very low... Miller should have poke checked.

I want to see Brent Johnson fight Carey Price, those are prolly the toughest off the top of my head... something tells me that Fleury can prolly hang now that I think about it. Emery is pretty tough too, is he still in the league?

Q1: Wrong, wrong, wrong! See goalies today don't practice preventative measures like the old greats did. If Ryan had a little Ed Belfour in him, then he would have prevented anyone trying to take a run at him because his crazy unpredictable @ss would be doing this throughout the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSUl54CmziU

Q2: It ain't like the olden days when a goalie was allowed to be a tough asskicker. So I will give it to an old man, Tim Thomas. Especially for this which he preformed on punkass Burrows in the Finals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTME67tnZJE

If I am Miller the next time Lucic is in my cease area he gets a Billy Smith like two hander across the ankles. I don't know if you are old enough to have seen Smith play, He was the Isles goalie for the cup years, No one came with in reach of his goal stick for fear of getting it across the ankles. Sure he got the occasional penalty but it was well worth it "pour encourager les autres" as they say in french.

Here is one of Smith's infamous slashes on Gretzky in the 83 finals. its at the 23-24 sec mark with a great replay from the overhead at the 2:24 point.
