Now that the Penn State scandal has surfaced and Sandusky is under arrest.........can he be found guilty and sent to the pen... since the original occurrence of sexual abuse to these kids happened so many years ago? Is there a statue of limitation protecting him that may affect this case?

If he's screwed up enough, he might be sent to a prison hospital facility for criminal sexual offenders. Most child molesters don't live long in the general prison population. Say what you will about the bottom feeders and social scum that end up in our prisons, they draw the line at harming little kids and make life miserable and short for those who do.

Re the PA statutes of limitations:

"Serious sex crimes such as rape carry a statute of limitations of twelve years. When a sexual offense is committed against a minor, however, the statute of limitations does not start until in the minor reaches the age of eighteen."

The problem is that any of the kids he's molested who are now 18 or older cannot be compelled to present themselves to the police and admit to being molested. So the public may never know how many kids Sandusky molested.
