# Transfer of electrical energy?

Need to understand the transfer of electrical energy, give some examples if you can :)

Update:

Could I also grab some examples and explanations of how electrical energy is transfered to light energy, and heat energy, please this will really help me :)

Electrical energy:-

Electricity can be used to transfer energy from one place to another. Things with energy can make other things happen.

For example, electricity transfers energy from the power station to our house where it is used to make objects work. It makes our hair dryers and stoves operate.

Electrical energy can be produced in several ways.

It can be produced by a generator. But it can also be produced by a battery in a chemical reaction.

Electric motor ;-

An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.

Most electric motors operate through the interaction of magnetic fields and current-carrying conductors to generate force. The reverse process, producing electrical energy from mechanical energy, is done by generators such as an alternator or a dynamo; some electric motors can also be used as generators, for example, a traction motor on a vehicle may perform both tasks. Electric motors and generators are commonly referred to as electric machines.

Alternator;-

An alternator is an electromechanical device that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy in the form of alternating current.

Most alternators use a rotating magnetic field but linear alternators are occasionally used. In principle, any AC electrical generator can be called an alternator, but usually the word refers to small rotating machines driven by automotive and other internal combustion engines. Alternators in power stations driven by steam turbines are called turbo-alternators.

Electric vehicle (EV);-

An electric vehicle (EV), also referred to as an electric drive vehicle, uses one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. Three main types of electric vehicles exist, those that are directly powered from an external power station, those that are powered by stored electricity originally from an external power source, and those that are powered by an on-board electrical generator, such as an engine (a hybrid electric vehicle), or a hydrogen fuel cell.[1] Electric vehicles include electric cars, electric trains, electric lorries, electric aeroplanes, electric boats, electric motorcycles and scooters and electric spacecraft.

One way to store it is in the form of chemical energy in a battery. When connected in a circuit, energy stored in the battery is released to produce electricity.
