How do I know if it is necessary to get my electronic product to be FCC certified?

FCC = Federal Communications Commission

My product is a low power desk lamp.

    The FCC requires any digital device operating above 9 kHz to be tested. There are some exceptions, none of which apply to a desk lamp.

    If your desk lamp uses LEDs, it likely needs to be tested.

    If the product does not emit radio waves, it would not require FCC certification.

    It will be required o be UL listed, and to abide by all appropriate FTC regulations.
