What does The Society of Jesus' symbol mean?

I have a project for school and a requirement is knowing what the symbol means. I cannot find it ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!! I also don't think my teacher would accept, "The symbol of the Society of Jesus means "The Society of Jesus" because, well, duh, it's The Society's symbol!" so what does it mean? Thanks!

I think you might be looking for the Ichthus. The fish symbol. It was carved into walls when xtianity was forbidden and so became the symbol of the Christian society of Rome. It's the simple loop that makes the symbol of a fish. Think Ribbon societies. You see it all over these days.
