Would a sauna or steam room be good for laryngitis?

I have laryngitis and would like some relief. Would a sauna or steam room be good for laryngitis?

    The steam from a steam room or humid sauna could make your laryngitis feel better, but it's not going to help you recover any more quickly.

    If your laryngitis was caused by allergies, it's definitely going to give you some relief.

    However, if it is caused by a bacterial or viral infection, it is better that you stay out of the sauna and steam room. It's not going to make you feel much better, and you've got a pretty good chance of infecting other people in there.
