Best free music making software?

Anyone know the best music making software? I need effective, efficient, free software that can play multiple instruments. I'm going to record a bunch of tracks and put them together... Also if the software can create sheet music that'd be great. Thank you so much (:

FL Studio can do all of that. The demo is free, doesn't have a time limit. You just can't re-open saved projects until you buy the full version.

FL Studio can convert your piano roll data into sheet music in a .pdf file for you to print out and use however you want. The feature is called "export as score sheet" and can be found in the options menu for the piano roll.

    Here's the free demo: http://flstudio.image-line.com/documents/download....

If you need help getting started with it, press F1 while it's open or visit a site like youtube and search "FL Studio tutorial" or "FL Studio beginner"

If you decide to purchase one of the full editions, here's an instant 10% discount you can use when you buy directly from the developers of FL at Image-Line:

Here's a comparison of the editions' features.

You get free lifetime updates for the products you purchase. While it's not free, it's a great investment that you only need to do once (unlike other software which make you pay for updates). So, you'll get FL 10, 11, 12, ect.. free once they are released. You also get official forum access at http://forum.image-line.com/

    have fun
