    0.2 miles = (5280)(0.2) = 1056ft, about 350 steps for an average adult male.

0.2 miles is a little less than 1/4 or 0.25 of a mile. I would know because for Fitness Gram last year they told us we would be running (or in my case, jogging) 4 laps around the football field, which is 1 mile. Saying that, that must mean 1 lap = 0.25 miles.

0.2 miles is just 1056 feet. People mostly walk 3mph, so it took only 4 minutes to walk 1056 feet. It is not so long.

That is not far at all, it is only one fifth of a mile. Since it takes about 15 minutes to walk a mile (depending on your pace) you should be able to walk to the school in 3 minutes.

    G'day BiteMe94,

    Thank you for your question.

No you should be able to get there in 5 or 6 minutes. Try walking there and see how it long it takes you.
