Why don't I have the 'monetize' button on youtube?

I got a message saying...

Your YouTube account might be eligible to earn revenue from the playbacks of your videos.

Making money from your videos is easy. Here's how it works: First sign into your YouTube account. Then review and complete the steps outlined here:

If your account is enabled, we may place ads next to the videos you submit for monetization. You will earn a share of the revenue from the ads as long as you meet the program requirements.

Thanks and good luck!

The YouTube Team

AFTER this I then make an adsense account on the Youtube website. Everything has been approved, however I can not see the 'monetize' button next to any of my videos.

I set up my adsense and it shows that youtube has 3rd party access. However there are no options on my youtube to monetize any of my videos, no enable buttons that I've read so much about.

This was the final confirmation message.

I got the same emails as you 4 days ago, but I did not have the same problem as you. I would definitely email youtube or go on their FAQ's page to further your investigation, since it worked perfectly fine with my account.

    Good luck!
